Internet Applications (For Teaching and Learning) basic

Hello again I'm back again with the topic , '‘ Internet Applications (For Teaching and Learning)’’. In semester 1, we've learned about teaching technology and in this semester, they have many similarities including, communication which is:

1.asynchronous application for example online forum discussion,

2.Synchronous application:

-text chatting(e-learning,yahoo messenger, google talk)

-video chatting( Skype)

Asynchronous communication did not happend at the same time for example in email or online forum discussion

Other than thaty i've also learned about the environment of Asynchronous communication that is:

Enable students to interact, give feedback and makes ereflection on what they've learned so far.

But,Synchronous communication on the other hand, happends at the same time .The best example are  chatrooms dan online conference. In chatroom , users can give and comment each others at the same time

Among the application used for teaching and learning are:

•      IPTV/ WebTV (e.g YouTube, UTMotion, TeacherTube)

•      Podcast

•      Social networking (e.g Facebook)

•      MOOC, SPOC, NOOC.

•      Blogging, Microblogging

               •      Live Virtual Classrooms

Infrastructures of internet

Hello and good afternoon to my respected readers, for today's post, I will be sharing  a topic that is,“Internet Infrastructure”. Internet is an internal connection to send data through a special packet switching typewhich is, IP (Internet Protocol).

  Other than that I learned about  Internet sevice provider (ISP). They usually supply the software Package, USername , Password,Phone Number and Modem. It's also connected with each other through Network Access Points (NAPs).DFFor instance , TM is also an ISP.

Next, I also learneed about Internet Protocol.  Each device and machine that use Internet will have a unique number known as  IP address .Internet protocol is a language used by computer to communicate through internet. An IP address contains 32 bits,usually shows 4 octets number(IPV4) from 0-255 (But for Ipv6 is more advance and commonly used nowadays since it provides more IP adress)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   Other than that, I've also learned HTTP, which brings meaning on how the will be formated then send and Web Servers actions and the browsers taken in  giving respon to the  multiple command. For example, when we entered an URL in a Browser,it's actually sent as HTTP command to web server directly to it to take and send request.

1 . Dial connection

3.Satellite internet Access

4.Fixed Wireless

5.Broadband

6.mobile wireless

E-mail, Social Media, the new Lecturer with a new chapter

Hello again it’s been one hell of a week and I haven’t post anything for a while and I’m very2x Sorry to my readers. So a week ago My lecturer have been switched due to the syllabus , but even so, his class( I forgot to mention that my lecturer  now is a men, so we have to adapt the new situation) are not bad at all, he did a great job on teaching  us  Networking. His name is Dr. Johari(In the picture on the left side) , and for this week’s topic are, about application Of Email,,,,,, and some of the social media which is famous in todays community mainly on teens.

 

There are Many types of media social, among them are these famous 8 types of social Media( I did my own research instead of just using what the lecturer provides). Each classes has their own similarity and differences on the others. But the difference is not that far, in terms of how  they works, their functions and everything.

What is Email And Its’ functions

Email is an abbrievation of  Electronic mail which brings the meaning Electronic Letter.. Email are not sent via Post office or postmen but through Internet metwork. Through email we are able to send electronic leters weather in text form, even pictures.. even so, there’s a bit of difference between social media and email, mainly on how they works.

In this topic, this the first time I’ve been taught in more detail about  Hyper Text Markup Language or the common name we see in internet that is HTML . So what is HTML? Week 6: Me and wireless

     Hello readers again, sorry for the late updates due to some of my coursework i have to attend. So today, I have been taught about wireless technology. As we know, wireless technology are very2x famous among youngsters today. So, I’m just gonna be brief on todays topic,Wireless Technology.

There are 4 types of Wireless :

    1. Wireless wide area networks (WWANs)

2.Wireless metropolitan area networks (WMANs)ü

3.Wireless local area networks (WLANs)ü

4.Wireless personal area networks (WPANs)ü

For Wireless Technology, among the examples are:

1.      Infra Red

2.      Wireless Local Area Networks(WLANS) WIFI

3.      Broaband Wireless

4.      Blutooth

5.      WiMax

1.Infra Red- X use Radio frequency as signals

2.WLANS- there arte 3 physical layers of WLANS that is 2 frequency Radio , and 1 Infared.

3.Broadband- wireless access is a technology aimed a tproviding high-speed wireless access over a wide area from devices such as personal computers to data networks.

4.Blutooth-Designed for short distance network <10m, connects & data exchanges between devices such as handphone,laptops,PCs,Printers, digital Cameras & video game .

5.WiMax-To extend the range of wireless network.(Speed up to 70Mbps range 30 Miles)
